Gorillas, Chimps & Savannah Wildlife | 10 Days, 9 Nights
From: US$7199, All Inclusive, Tailor-made
Trekking deep into the wild jungle to find mountain gorillas is one of the planet’s most awe-inspiring wildlife experiences. This Uganda mountain gorilla safari brings you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to half the world’s population of the last highly endangered great apes. You get two full days of gorilla tracking so you’ll have extraordinary opportunities to observe them up close.
The hikes to find the gorilla clans are steep, but the experience of sitting amid a silverback and his family is unforgettable. We’ll also track chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park, following these acrobats as they leap from tree to tree. In beautiful Queen Elizabeth National Park, we’ll spot big game (leopard, tree-climbing lion, huge herds of buffalo, and elephant) and boat in the Kazinga Channel among throngs of hippo—this magnificent safari has it all.
